Coast Guard rescues two kayakers in Concord Point
BOSTON - The Coast Guard rescued two people today after their kayaks capsized during an afternoon thunderstorm in Concord Point, NH.

A good Samaritan notified Coast Guard Sector Northern New England in South Portland, Maine, that the men were in the water and needed help at about 3 p.m., today.

Both men were wearing life jackets.

A 25-foot response boat launched from Station Portsmouth Harbor in New Castle, N.H., recovered the two men and their kayaks and took them to Pirates Cove in Rye, N.H.

There were thunderstorm warnings in effect for the area at the time of the accident.
