FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The fishing vessel Captain A.B. after it grounded in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., at approximately 5:30 a.m. today. The fishing vessel had three people aboard when it ran hard aground at the 1400 block of Ponte Vedra Blvd., which is just north of Guana River State Park, Fla. There were no injuries or pollution as a result of the grounding. The captain of the Captain A.B. and a crewman were cited for falling asleep at the helm of the vessel. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the grounding. The Coast Guard will ensure that the 4,400 gallons of fuel and 300 gallons of lube oil aboard the Captain A.B. are not spilled during the salvage of the vessel.
