
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ed Callahan, Rear Commodore of the Northern Area
for Coast Guard Auxiliary Seventh District, briefs his team for patrols of
the St. Johns River, Fla., during the week of Super Bowl XXXIX
in support of Operation Straight Arm. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is
the volunteer civilian arm of the Coast Guard and has been an integral part
of operations for events like Super Bowl XXXIX and the G8 Summit.

JACKSONVILLE,

maritime law enforcement agencies
Super Bowl XXXIX and will be used as a five-star floating hotel, and it will be host to
Super Bowl parties and other events. The Coast Guard and its partner agencies will
be enforcing a 400-yard security zone at its mooring at the Talleyrand Terminal.
