**Media Advisory** Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf to Arrive in Miami Thursday MIAMI - Media is invited to ride aboard the Coast Guard's newest cutter, the 418-foot National Security Cutter Bertholf, while it transits into the Port of Miami Thursday. Miami is the Bertholf's first port of call since being christened in Pascagoula, Miss., November 11, 2006. The Bertholf is the lead ship in the new Legend-class of cutters designed as the flagship of the modern Coast Guard fleet. Capable of executing the most challenging maritime safety and security missions around the globe, Bertholf is the first of eight national security cutters planned to be built by the Coast Guard. Patrick Stadt, commanding officer and native of Melborne, Fla., and crew local to the Miami area WHAT: Ride aboard the Bertholf during its transit into the Port of Miami WHEN: Thursday, June 19 at 6 a.m.
